Good company...

A big hello out there...and a huge welcome to all my new followers :)
There's just a day & a bit before my giveaway ends...you can find the details HERE

It's Saturday afternoon & all housework is done, so I settled in for some afternoon scrapping!

I seen the latest sketch over at Creative Scrappers & was really inspired by it...it's such a great classic sketch - sketch #227

I have turned it 90deg anti clockwise to come up with this...

Using Basic Grey - Clippings, that I bought as a kit from Paper Stories quite a few months ago.

Can you believe it.... not a flower in sight!!!  LOL
I felt that I'd kind of forgotten how to scrap without flowers...but surprisingly, this all came together really quickly :)

I've used a couple of 2crafty chipboard cogs & a Lil' Red Rocket bug button in my cluster

And some more 2crafty stars that have been covered in washi tape

I love this Clippings garland...that comes with the stitching holding it all together.

And some more journaling with a few of the banner stickers from the Clippings sticker sheet.

That's all from me for now, until next time...enjoy your weekend, where ever you are in this big wide world :) xx

My cluster that includes the MME  crochet doily that I altered & made into 2 pieces...along with a 2crafty chipboard Flower Spurt, Lil'  Red Rocket button, TSS mulberry paper rose, MHC flower & stamped leaves.

 Here is the 2nd piece from the MME Sunshine crochet doily...and another 2crafty chipboard butterfly.

 And my card....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello there everyone...thanks so much for dropping by today :)
I'm here to share another layout using MME - The Sweetest Thing - Tangerine, from my September DT kit from The Scrapbook Store.
My layout is based on the September sketch at Get Creative....
  I've hand cut a heap of strips from the Happy Woodsy & Together Chevron papers to form the circle in the sketch.
For my cluster I've used one of the gorgeous Sunshine crochet doilies, TSS Mulberry paper rose, Kaisercraft & Manorhouse Creations flower, a Lil' Red Rocket spotted yellow button, & some stamped leaves (I seem to be using these alot lately).
And here I've cut some of the word banners from the Hello Greetings paper
And also some of the shaped pieces that I've tucked in behind my photo.
The photo was taken earlier this month...out in one of the local canola fields.
DS was partnering a girl in a Debutante Ball, so we took advantage of us all being dressed up & got a few family shots as well :)
Hope everyone has had a beaut week...until next time, happy scrapping! xx
MME - The Sweetest Thing
Hi there fellow scrappers, how is everyone today?
If you'd like to enter my giveaway, please go HERE
Today I'm sharing a layout using my DT kit from The Scrapbook Store - using My Minds Eye - The Sweetest Thing - Tangerine.
These papers are utterly gorgeous...and really, they don't need much work to make a layout look good!
My layout is for sketch # 225 over at Creative Scrappers
I've used Happy Sunny paper for my background & then pieces of Happy Woodsy, Hello Greetings, Hello Wishes & Together Chevron paper.
And this is the sketch ....that I have rotated 90 deg anti clockwise
In my cluster I've used one of the many new flower ranges to The Scrapbook Store - a 5cm Mulberry Paper Rose...plus a Manor House flower, Kaisercraft blooms, MME Sunshine Crochet Doily (that I cut up to get 2 pieces), a Lil' Red Rocket checkered button & paper doilies, some stamped leaves....and some 2crafty chipboard - Flower Spurts & Butterfly frame (a more detailed list, including links, is listed at the bottom of this post)
The techniques I've used on the chipboard was I first gave a couple of coats of gesso, then dabbed on some texture paste...once that was dry, I painted on some Oriental Poppy Glimmermist using a dabbing effect.
A close up of the 2crafty Flower Spurt
Photo is of my Mum & Dad, and my Brother & I, taken on Fathers Day last year :)
Teresa Collins - Tell your story...
Hello again fellow scrappers, I hope everyone is well :)
If you're wanting to enter my giveaway, please go HERE
This month my DT kit from The Scrapbook Store contained 2 fabulous ranges!
Teresa Collins - Tell your Story....and My Minds Eye - The Sweetest Thing - Tangerine!
The first layout I've created is using Teresa Collins "Tell your Story", and my layout is for Sketch #174 @ Skissedilla
The colours in this range are fabulous...they're so fun & vibrant & go together so well!
I love them <3.  To create my background on the reverse side of the Flowers PP, I've used my new CW Mini Hexagons template using both Orange & Spearmint acrylic paints mixed with texture paste...then I've misted over it with Mr Huey's Calico White.  (A more detailed list of products used is listed at the end of this post)
In my cluster I've used a few of the new flowers to The Scrapbook Store - the main flower is the 5cm Apricot Mulberry Paper Rose and the smaller 2 are the 2.5cm Aqua Cherry Blossoms.
There are a heap more of sizes, colours & varieties in store & you can check them out HERE ....they really are great value for money!
Also tucked into my cluster is an ultra gorgeous love bird button from Lil' Red Rocket <3
And here you can see the beautiful Celia's Flourish Frame from 2Crafty that I've simply painted in Spearmint Acrylic paint & then wiped some Gesso here & there with my finger.
You can also see some of the Die Cut Border Strips from the TC range in under the CB frame....these are so quick & easy to work with...& look great :)
And a close up of a few of the butterflies cut from the Butterfly PP
Well, that's all I have for now....but will be back sometime soon with my next creation from my DT kit ....possibly using MME - Tangerine!
Until next time...happy scrapping & thanks for dropping by xx
